Filmed and cut by us on a client shoot day.

What we film(04)

What we filmfor businesses.

Four kinds of video, all of them shot on the days we are already on site.

  1. 01/

    Brand films

One film that says what the business does and who does it, cut for the home page and cut again for a room where the sound is off. It is the film everything else on the site hangs off.

  2. 02/

    Capability and recruitment

The film that goes with a tender, and the film that makes someone want to work there. Same day, same crews, two different rooms, so a company that is hiring and bidding only shoots once.

  3. 03/

    Site and project coverage

The job as it happens: the build, the install, the finish. Filmed on site around the crew, so a project that ran for months can be shown properly without staging a re-enactment of it later.

  4. 04/

    Social cuts

Vertical cuts from the same footage, sized for the feed and delivered as a batch rather than one at a time, so nobody on your team is editing video at night.

Where it goes(03)

One shoot, every frame it has to fill.

The same footage, cut for the three shapes a business actually publishes in.

16:9

The website and YouTube

The wide cut. The one on the home page, in the tender, and on the channel.

9:16

Reels and Stories

The vertical cut, framed for it at the shoot rather than cropped out of the wide one afterwards.

1:1

The feed

The square cut, for the places that still crop everything to it.

One file, three crops, playing in step.

How a film day runs(05)

How a film dayruns.

  1. 01/

    The brief

Thirty minutes on a call. What the film has to do, who it is for, who is in it, and where it is going to be watched. That last answer decides how the day is shot.

  2. 02/

The script and the shot list

We write it with you, from the brief. You tell us what has to be said and who says it, we write it so it sounds like your people, and you approve both before anyone stands in front of a camera.

  3. 03/

    The day on site

We film around the work. Interviews are recorded in one quiet room in a block so nobody loses a morning, and the rest of the day is the job going on as it would anyway.

  4. 04/

    The edit

We cut it, grade it, mix it and caption it in house. You see a first cut, you give one round of notes, and the final follows. No third party goes near the footage.

  5. 05/

    The cuts

The wide film, the vertical cuts and the square cuts come out of the same edit, delivered together with the raw footage and the project files. Every one of them is yours.

Questions we get(05)

Questions businesses askbefore a film day.

  • We set the delivery date on the brief call and work back from it: the script and the shot list first, then the day on site, then the edit. You see a first cut, give one round of notes, and the final follows. The date is the date.

  • Yes. The raw footage, the project files and every finished cut are handed over, with the usage rights in writing. Nothing is held back, nothing is licensed to you, and nothing costs extra later.

  • Yes, and it should. One day on site gives the brand film for the website, the vertical cuts for the feed and the recruitment film, because they are the same people and the same work seen three ways.

  • With you, from the brief. You bring what has to be said; we write it so it sounds like the person saying it, and we shoot it so nobody has to perform. People who hate being on camera do fine on our days.

  • Yes. Any shoot day can be cut for the feed on its own, and a day we have already filmed can be re-cut later without going back on site.
