Remove VisualState Automation from the relevant Meta or Instagram business settings, then email us with enough account detail to identify the authorised connection. We will verify authority, delete eligible data and confirm completion.
Disconnect the app.
First, stop future access by removing VisualState Automation from the relevant Meta business integration, Facebook Page, Instagram account or connected-app settings. You can also revoke the relevant user or system-user token and remove assigned assets in Meta Business Settings.
If Visual State manages the connection for you, email us and ask us to disable it. Removing the connection stops future authorised API access but does not automatically remove information already stored for a legitimate business purpose, which is why the deletion request below is also available.
Send a deletion request.
Email team@visualstate.studio with the subject Meta Data Deletion Request. Include:
- your name and business email address;
- the business or organisation that owns the connected assets;
- the Facebook Page name, Instagram username or ad-account name involved;
- the Visual State project or workflow, if known;
- whether you want a specific record deleted or all eligible integration data removed; and
- a safe way for us to confirm the request with an authorised account administrator.
Do not include passwords, app secrets, access tokens, full payment details or unrelated sensitive information in the email.
We verify authority.
Business-account data can contain customer messages, leads, campaign information and records belonging to an organisation. Before deleting it, we may need to confirm that the requester is the connected person, a current administrator or otherwise authorised to act for the business.
Verification may include replying from the business domain, confirming a non-secret account identifier, checking current Meta Business access or obtaining confirmation from the responsible client contact. We will not ask you to email a password or live access token.
What we delete.
Subject to verification and any lawful retention requirement, deletion can cover information held by Visual State that was received or created through the relevant integration, including:
- stored access tokens, refresh credentials and connection identifiers under our control;
- Facebook Page, Instagram profile, ad-account, dataset and pixel identifiers linked to the connection;
- copies of messages, comments, content, leads, campaign data, insights or webhook events retained for the workflow;
- temporary AI inputs, summaries, drafts and processing records associated only with that connection; and
- derived operational records that are no longer required for another authorised or lawful purpose.
Where a client is the controller of a record, we will coordinate the request with that client. Removing data from Visual State does not automatically delete the original information held by Meta, the connected business, a client CRM or another independent provider.
Limited information may need to remain.
We may retain the minimum information reasonably required for tax and financial records, security investigations, consent or opt-out evidence, legal claims, contractual records or another obligation that permits or requires retention.
Protected backup copies may remain until the normal backup cycle expires. They are not returned to ordinary operational use and will be overwritten or deleted through that cycle. We may retain a limited record that a deletion request was completed so the removed connection is not unintentionally restored.
Timing and confirmation.
We aim to acknowledge a complete request within five business days and complete eligible deletion within 30 days after authority is verified. Complex, disputed or legally constrained requests may take longer; if so, we will explain the next step and expected timing.
When the process is complete, we will confirm what connection was disabled, what categories of data were deleted or de-identified, and any limited information that must remain with the reason for retention.
For an access, correction or privacy complaint rather than deletion, email team@visualstate.studio and read our Privacy Policy.
