The brief

A business taking shape before launch.

Michael Gross approached Visual State while preparing to launch Mocha Finance. He brought finance experience and an existing logo. He had also started a website with another provider, then stopped because the direction did not fit the business.

We developed the visual identity around the logo and planned the website alongside the launch photography and video. The coffee theme came from Michael’s own working style and cafe referral relationships. It gave the business a recognisable setting for conversations about finance.

The work

The person behind the brokerage.

The pre-launch photography placed Michael in a cafe environment, supported by a launch film. Those settings carried the warmth of the brand through the material introducing the business.

We also filmed and edited podcast-style educational content. The work gave Michael room to explain lending topics in his own voice.

Alongside the produced content, we provided equipment and setup guidance and taught Michael to record, edit and publish his own material. He creates the ongoing daily posts himself.

The work

A website with room to explain the service.

We developed the website strategy, content and design around Mocha Finance’s lending services. Service and local pages sit alongside educational articles and FAQs, with clear routes to make an enquiry.

Interactive tools cover topics including borrowing, repayments and refinancing. They sit within a broader website that introduces the broker and explains the services available. Search foundations support the site’s structure and page content.

The work

What Michael reports.

Mocha Finance reports receiving enquiries through both its website and social media. The photography, films and website gave the business a consistent public presence for launch, with educational material to keep using afterwards.

For your business

Planning a broker’s website and content.

What should a mortgage broker website explain before someone enquires?

It should introduce the broker, describe the services and give visitors a clear way to make contact. Educational pages can answer common process questions without asking people to enquire just to understand the basics. Mocha Finance’s site combines that information with photography of Michael and enquiry routes.

Why plan brand photography alongside a professional-services website?

The website needs to show the person a customer will meet. Planning the photographs with the page layouts helps decide which portraits, work settings and details are needed. For Mocha Finance, the cafe setting connected Michael’s photographs with the business’s coffee-led identity.

How can a broker turn expertise into useful video content?

Choose a specific question customers ask and give it room in the recording plan. An interview or podcast-style conversation can help the speaker explain it naturally. We filmed and edited educational content with Michael, and also helped him learn to create his own ongoing material.
