The brief

Food with a story around it.

Our work for Pearl by P&D combined content planning, on-site photography and filming, and editing. The library covered food alongside people, venue atmosphere and event content.

Food films gave individual subjects more time on screen. The work included story-led pieces about food as well as event coverage, extending the collection beyond a set of finished-dish photographs.

The work

Photographs and films from recurring production.

Photography provided the still-image library, while edited short-form videos carried the moving content. We delivered the material ready for social use as part of the recurring engagement.

The completed work created a collection with different roles: photographs of the food and venue, people within the setting, and films focused on food stories or events.

For your business

Planning hospitality content.

What should hospitality photography include beyond finished dishes?

Include preparation, the people behind the food and the room in which it is served. Pearl by P&D’s library covers food, people and venue atmosphere. Those subjects let a venue show more of its character than a menu photograph can on its own.

How can a venue turn food preparation into a short video?

Choose a food story with a clear sequence, then plan the key actions and details before filming. Give preparation, finishing and the final dish a role in the edit. Our Pearl by P&D work included story-led food films alongside the still-image library.

How do you plan recurring photo and video content around events?

Put the event dates, important moments and intended uses into the brief. Agree access, the people who can appear and which material is needed before or after the event. Photography and short-form editing can then be planned as part of the wider venue content library.
