Appselec has been wiring Victoria since 1954 and now works across Victoria and Queensland, with a 24/7 service division behind the major projects. Their website said none of that. This is what they came with, what was wrong, and what we are building to fix it, all under one roof.

Three problems,one team.
A website from another era.
Dated design, project pages that did not carry the work, and nothing that told a builder who they were dealing with. It made a big company look small.
A portal that went nowhere.
The old site promised a staff portal. The link was dead.
Nothing to show for the work.
Decades of projects and almost no photography of them. The showcase ran on whatever snapshots were to hand, so the scale of the operation never made it onto the page.

We sat with them and went through the old site page by page, all 35 of them and the 38 projects in its showcase, on one checklist: keep, cut, add.
Then we showed them the design direction. Their words were ‘we love this’. They started calling us the lightning bolt people.
Two full days of photography and video across live projects, so nothing on the site is stock. Custom coded and built for how search works now, so it is found by people and by the answer engines they use. Five sectors, each with its own page: data centres, health, residential, commercial and hotels. Twenty project case studies, four in each.

The old site had a staff portal link that led nowhere. The new one is a secure, private area reached from the public site. The office publishes documents, forms, bulletins and safety alerts, and staff read them from their own login. Built for 700 people to start, expanding to 1,200.
